They may not have taken home the statue this year at the Golden Globes, but they did pull off a deserved win for Best Comedy Ensemble at the Screen Actors Guild Award.  None won in their individual acting categories at either show, but maybe that just proves that these comedic talents define the word “ensemble.”Modern Family has taken the small screen by storm. It’s hard to imagine the show working its magic minus any single character.

The light, irreverent, fresh comedy is undeniably delightful, and somehow there’s a relatable character for almost everyone in America. The talented cast inspires, resonates with, and amuses us with their adorable antics every week.

This week, I’d like to look at their fashion choices for this awards season, since sadly we probably won’t be seeing any of them at the Academy Awards. With smoking hot bodies like Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara and hilarious personalities like Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ty Burrell, they are way too interesting not to pay attention to.

Ladies First

We have to admire Julie Bowen’s courageous move to wear this sexy black pantsuit by Catherine Malandrino at the SAGs. The sleek, straight hair and startling cleavage brings out the “hot mama” Claire Dunphy.

Sofia Vergara added to her adorable appeal by tweeting the weekend before the Globes that it was hard for her to find something to wear, what with all the curvaceousness and bootylicious-ness bursting everywhere. Looks like she did manage to fit into this red Vera Wang, which hugs her in all the right places. Although, are there any wrong places on this body? Everyone’s favorite Columbian trophy wife brought the va-va-voom to the carpet all on her own.

One of the youngest, freshest stars on the Red Carpet, Sarah Hyland rocked a snazzy look representing firecracker teenagers everywhere. Walking with her adorable boyfriend while bringing the color in this creamsicle Max Mara and dazzling in Chopard jewels, the 20-year-old proved that she is an up-and-comer to watch for future awards seasons.

Some of the Funniest Guys on TV

“Pocket squares unite!” Jesse Tyler Ferguson showed his delicious sense of humor that he brings to his uber-likeable Mitchell when he related to his interviewer, E!’s Ross Matthews. Stepping out with his new boyfriend Justin Mikita, he keeps the look cool and so very him.

Patriarch Ed O’Neil had a great time at the SAG awards, joking backstage with fellow nominee Eric Stonestreet. Both looked great, while of course letting the ladies shine, during the acceptance speech for their win and during photos. You have to admire an actor of Ed O’Neil’s TV experience, who’s honest enough with himself to wear his glasses all night, and also not jaded by Hollywood, and can still enjoy a great night in TV.
