The Red Carpet for the Screen Actors Guild Awards is always a more fun, laid-back atmosphere because it’s sort of a major party for the entertainment industry.

Doesn’t your office party look like that? This year, Sunday, January 29th played host to the Awards, which played on TBS and TNT, and the Red Carpet featured lots of gorgeous bold, jewel tones and of course the neutral, understated trend we’ve been seeing all awards season. There were a few lows, but more highs as Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered to shower each other with love, praise and couture. Here are some of my favorite looks of the night:

Ladies in Jewel Tones

I just love Michelle Williams’ style. Even though she was nominated for her glamorous turn in My Week With Marilyn, all awards season she has kept true to her own unique style. She knows what she likes, and she knows what she looks great it. I just adored her in this lovely red, lacy Valentino.

Another bold turn in jewel tone was the ever-sexy Sofia Vergara. Even though she sticks true to her favorite silhouette, this time she at least switched up the designer and made a move from Vera Wang to Marchesa. With her gorgeous skin and the matching accessories, she was a gorgeous lady in magenta on the Red Carpet.

Sofia’s equally gorgeous co-star, Julie Bowen, is another leading lady who knows what works for her and rocked a jewel toned frock to show if off.  To highlight her insanely toned body, she chose an incredibly cool backless Temperley. Her gorgeous hair and makeup just enhanced her look.

Possibly my favorite look of the night was Emily Blunt in this ah-may-zing one-shoulder emerald Oscar de la Renta. Seriously, I stopped breathing for a moment when I saw her. Add adorable hubby John Krasinski to some serious fashion power, and the result is nothing short of spectacular.

A close second in the you-look-freaking-amazing category is the eternally youthful Diane Lane. With another one-shoulder stunner, plus another gorgeous Hollywood arm candy hubby, Diane stole several spotlights in this blue David Meister.

Soft and Natural

Following in the fashion footsteps of the Golden Globes, a few stunners kept in the neutral trend. I love Julianna Marguiles’ fearless confidence in this pale Calvin Klein.

Marchesa had another gold (or in this case, green statuette) goddess moment in Viola Davis. I just love the way this gown flows when she moves, even though she admitted she wasn’t comfortable walking in her Jimmy Choos. The white and gold against her gorgeous skin made us forget if she was wobbling or not though. As much as I want Meryl Streep to take home another Oscar this year, Viola win points for her gorgeous style and equally lovely acceptance speech.

Not-so-Basic Black

Emma Stone’s Red Carpet moments just keep getting better and better. She looked absolutely flawless in this black McQueen stunner. Seriously, girl crush just keeps growing. She can do no wrong and is taking the world by storm!

Of course, does it get any better than Angelina Jolie? For the relaxed SAGs (where she wasn’t nominated), she chose to go back to her slinky, silky, inky black roots in this Jenny Packham halter.
